Question 1

Is Bailar available now?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Bailar is on Google Play, and on iPhone it runs free at bailar.site/events. Open it in Safari and add it to your Home Screen, and you're on the floor tonight.

Question 2

Where does Bailar work?

Accepted Answer

Worldwide. Bailar indexes Latin dance socials, classes, and studios everywhere there's a scene. It's deepest across the US right now, and growing fast through Latin America, Europe, and beyond. Wherever you land, the floor's already warm.

Question 3

Will it cost me anything?

Accepted Answer

The app is free to download and free to use.

Question 4

What makes Bailar different from Instagram or Facebook events?

Accepted Answer

Scene-specific data. Every event is classified by dance style (salsa, bachata, kizomba, and more), level, venue type, and whether it's a social, workshop, festival, or congress, so you can filter by what you actually dance. Instagram can't do that.

Question 5

Which dance styles do you cover?

Accepted Answer

Salsa, bachata, kizomba, merengue, zouk, cumbia, cha-cha, mambo, rueda, samba, forró, afro-latin, dancehall, reggaeton, urban kiz, semba, rumba, hustle, West Coast Swing, tango, lambada, bolero, son, timba, and guaracha.

Question 6

Can I book private lessons through the app?

Accepted Answer

Yes, 1:1 private lessons with verified instructors, in your chosen style, at your level, paid in-app. The instructor marketplace is live in the app.

Question 7

What's the rhythm game?

Accepted Answer

A timing trainer built on real Latin tracks. Tap the beat, build muscle memory, climb the weekly leaderboard. It's a way to practice when you're away from the floor.

Question 8

I teach. Can I list my lessons?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Apply for instructor verification, set your rates and availability, and start accepting private-lesson bookings. Verified instructors keep 97.5% of every booking: a flat 2.5% platform fee, the lowest take rate in the category.

Question 9

I run a studio. Can I claim my listing?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Most studios are already in our directory (pulled from public sources). Claim yours to manage your schedule, instructor roster, and studio photos, and to reach dancers in your city.

Question 10

How do you handle my data?

Accepted Answer

Stored in Supabase, US region, with row-level security on every table. We don't sell your data to advertisers. Read the full policy at /legal/privacy.

Question 11

Why should I trust a new app?

Accepted Answer

Because we're dancers first. Bailar is funded without ads, and every feature is shaped by feedback from verified instructors and beta dancers. Our bet is that the dance scene deserves better than a generic events tab.
