Google· 2 yr. ago· 2 reviewsCompared to other venues, this place is not as friendly or welcoming. The music is fine, but that’s where it ends. Staff can be problematic when addressing a situation or issue rather than solving it diplomatically. Also, the staff isn’t trained to be patient or helpful but rather quick to find a solution, even if it can be deemed unnecessary.

Local GuideGoogle· 2 yr. ago· 44 reviewsLuis Aragon is an instructor that truly cares about the technique, form, habit and foundation of dancers of all levels. As a personal trainer, I value instructors that aren't just good at a skill, but can also teach it in a way any average Joe can learn and be able to scale their teaching to the baseline skill level of the student. A lot of people are great dancers but it is rare someone can articulate rhythm, syncopation, form, and technique to someone that knows nothing about it. Anyone new at anything is in a very vulnerable zone where they need to see the end of their learning curve and know they are capable of eventually getting better to continue showing up and not quitting. Luis bridges that gap. His semi private classes are intimate and he will join in and dance with the students so they can feel the proper form. Most studios only have students dance with students but he encourages a humble culture where students feel welcome to not only learn from but also dance WITH their instructors. This is why I returned to cielo as a repeat student. If you feel like you're not cut out for dance, give him a try. He may change your mind!

Google· 3 yr. ago· 1 reviewLuis is a wonderful DJ, host, and friend! He makes everyone feel welcome and he is an amazing teacher! I’ve learned so much from him and other leads at social dance events in the past year. You will have fun, make new friends, and improve your dance skills if you join the cielo community 🤍

Google· 3 yr. ago· 2 reviewsCielo Dance Events is the go-to place for Bachata and Salsa lessons in SoCal. Offering classes for all skill levels, the sessions are well-organized and tons of fun!! What's great is that they provide lessons on various days and locations, making it convenient for those with busy schedules to join in.
